Jefferson County
Jefferson County was founded in 1829 and named after Thomas Jefferson. Located in the southeastern part of Arkansas, it spans approximately 973 square miles. The county seat is Pine Bluff. Jefferson County ranks as Arkansas's 9th most populous county, with a population of over 67,260 people. The Circuit and District Court in Jefferson County together serve as the county's court system.
