Tallapoosa County
Located in the east-central region of Alabama, Tallapoosa County was established in 1832 and named after the Tallapoosa River. It has a land area of 717 square miles and a water area of 50 square miles. According to the 2020 US census, it had 41,311 residents. Its largest city is Alexander City, and its county seat is Dadeville.
