Olmsted County
Olmsted County was created in 1855 from portions of Rice, Wabasha, and Fillmore Counties. Its land area is about 653.5 square miles, and its estimated population is 162,307. The administrative headquarters is located in Rochester.
Olmsted County is served only by the District Court. The District Court presides over all civil, criminal, probate, domestic relations, juvenile, traffic, and ordinance violation cases. It has specialty courts, including a Veterans Treatment Court and a Conciliation (Small Claims) Court that hears civil cases whose claims are less than $20,000.
Olmsted County public court records include any recorded information collected, created, and received by the District Court. The Olmsted District Court Administrator maintains and disseminates the county's court records to the public. Examples of such public court records, by case type, include:
- Civil records
- Criminal records
- Traffic records
- Family law records
- Probate records
