Carver County
Carver County is located in southeastern Minnesota and is part of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Statistical Area. The county is home to the cities of Waconia, renowned for its recreational possibilities, including fishing, and Chaska, which serves as the county seat. As of the 2022 census, the county had an estimated population of over 107,216 people and covered an area of approximately 353.9 square miles.
Carver County is part of Minnesota's First Judicial District, which manages court cases through specialized divisions such as Civil, Criminal, Probate, Family, Conciliation (Small Claims), and Juvenile Court Divisions. The Carver County District Court serves as the primary trial court with general jurisdiction over cases, including civil, both general and small claims, criminal, traffic, and family law matters.
